Adopt an Adult

RETIRED CATS EXPLAINED
A Maine Coon “retiree” is a cat that has already been spayed or neutered. These adult cats are often placed in new homes at a lower adoption fee than kittens. When you adopt a retiree, you get a much clearer picture of their true personality upfront—they might be super cuddly and affectionate, or they could prefer a more independent lifestyle. Adopting an adult is quite different from bringing home a kitten. Adult cats generally require a careful, gradual introduction to a new home and may need particular accommodations or circumstances to thrive.
Being part of a breeding program or living in a cattery setting isn’t the right fit for every cat. For some individuals, it can be quite stressful. Additionally, space in the cattery is limited, so, as much as it breaks our hearts, we cannot keep them all. Most importantly, we truly want our cats to enjoy the very best life as cherished pets—where they can be the center of attention. That’s what we deeply hope for and want for our beloved cats. 🐾

Téa Leoni
Nashvillecoons Téa Leoni
Female - Brown (Black) Mackerel Tabby
Birthdate - August 27, 2022

AVAILABLE
Téa came to us in the Fall of 2022 from Nashville Coons. We were very hopeful to produce kittens from this amazing girl. That was not to be. She was simply was not able to conceive.
She is very affectionate with us and enjoys a nap in our laps. She has unfortunately become very stressed living in a cattery environment since her spay surgery.
She will do best in a home without dogs or male cats. She gets along very well with our Golden Retriever, but after Téa was spayed, she was suddenly terrified of our German Shepherd.
As with all of our cats, Téa will require careful and intentional introduction to a new home.

Boudreaux, aka Bubba, came to us in the summer of 2021 from Housebugatti. He has sired many sweet and beautiful offspring.
He is feisty and affectionate. He is recovered from his neuter, but it takes some time for those stud hormones to settle.
He needs to be in a house without other cats. Retired studs have specific needs. Reach out if you are interested in discussing this sweet boy.
As with all of our cats, Boudreaux will require careful and intentional introduction to a new home.
